I met with Marian and we brainstormed quilting motifs and themes. She's accustomed to my wanting traditional looking quilting, but this was to be contemporary. We studied it together, sketched motifs and talked ideas and kicked it around for awhile. Nothing seemed to sizzle so she said she'd let it rest and something might come to her. I love her artistic skill and careful eye so I felt good about it. After all, quilting makes the quilt.
