The wonderful thing about the Senior Center Thrift Store in my town is the yarn and craft department. I almost always find a treasure, and the prices are hard to beat. I popped in recently and found these two balls of variegated fingering for a total of 70 cents!
The next time I was in the LYS I asked the owner if she recognized it. It's
Cascade Heritage Paints, Featherstone, 80/20 merino/nylon. Nice!
