It rained HARD last night. I couldn't wait to walk the Inlet trail by my house. The sound of rushing water was everywhere. And so were the wildflowers.
I spied little pink flowers, that from behind looked like Shooting Stars. I came home and looked them up in a wildflower handbook - Calypso orchids - no bigger than a thumbnail.
Horsetail was sprouting all along the creek banks.
The ferns are starting to come back, they're loving all this water.
Trillium.

Paper Basket
I saw this on Facebook and wanted to share.
It's made from paper packing strips. There's a great tutorial here.

Finished...
... at last! In January I was cleaning closets and purging UFO's. When I came to this knitted fabric rug I was determined to toss it. Then I saw how close I was to being done. Now that it's finished, I'm really glad I persevered. I love the colors! And while it's not soft on bare feet, it *is* thick and cushiony. Just right for relieving fatigue while standing at the ironing board.
